Custodial Obligation

evolution’s lessons and the universal obligation
to leave the natural environment healthy and congenial
for following generations

the universal custodial obligation of humanity to our Planet requires evolutionary knowledge to be respected particularly in regards to good will in relations between people, which safeguards more important relationships between all people and land/Creation.

The instinctive care for the welfare of children is reflected in the concept of Honourable Ancestors whose concerns might be contained under the banner of ‘a healthy Planet for all children’.

The categories and classifications of kinship and totemic systems provide concrete examples of primary evolutionary law (the custodial ethic) that began to emerge during millions of years of gradual change by the ancient becoming-human creatures.

The intervention of the Creator Spirits identified these emergent rules and put them into codes and systems appropriate for people in every part of Country in this great southland. This was necessary to allow the congenial nature of the process to continue.

Connections to country and obligations to future generations through flora and fauna totems clearly demonstrate recognition of custodial ethics and spirituality in lifestyle.

A significant aspect of the Creator Spirits’ intervention is the connection grounding all individuals to their birth country and clan affiliations.

The colonial terminology of ’nomad’ carries connotations of aimlessness and occasional opportunity.

Such naming features a colonial mentality based on concepts about the struggle for existence in a hostile world. Rulers use the power of definition to invoke the critical gaze identifying difference, which usually impinges on the powerless.

The concept of a police force, army or prisons is eradicated by the application of this Guideline in any society.
